So despite the knowledge that your business is better off if you have a website, many business owners are still reluctant to jump in on the Internet. If you’re selling products, a website is a way for you to show your catalog to potential customers. Don’t forget to include your pricing, this is very essential. (See Why Businesses Need to Post Their Pricing Online) If you have services, you have to show your list, your office or store hours, and your method of service. The main purpose of your website is to bring your business to people in areas who otherwise wouldn’t be able to see what your product, service, or store look like. If they can get to know you through their website, then you’re likely to earn sales. This is the power of the Internet.
In what might have been one of the most brazenly honest questions ever asked, “Regis and Kelly” guest-host Anderson Cooper simply inquired of Jillian Harris, recently off the finale of “The Bachelorette” and “The Bachelorette: After The Rose,” a question from which most people would have steered clear. CNN’s Anderson Cooper, sitting in for absent host Regis Philbin, bluntly asked the bachelorette how many guys on the show she had slept with… right in front of reality show contestant and bachelorette winner — if that is the correct term — Ed Swiderski. Apparently the couple are still together or at least they online blogs are until the post The Bachelorette publicity tour is over. And inquiring minds want to know…
Let’s be brutally honest, the amount of money a person makes depends on how many articles the person writes. It’s not the only reason why someone makes money on an article but productivity is a major reason.
Another great topic Katz and Christian Carter discussed was how to actually craft a compelling email when you find a man online that you want to contact. This is incredibly important because you have one chance to make that man want to read your People to follow on Garmin and respond to you. You must stand out from all the other singles in the online world. The flip side to this – you cannot make him think you WANT HIM more than he will want you.
The Internet has changed the world. When I wrote my first paper on volcanoes in the third grade, I had to check six books out of the library (two of which I forgot to return.) Now I can Google volcanoes and find out how hot they are, where they are most active, and get three dozen diagrams of how magma flows. It’s no longer what you know, but how hard you are willing to work to find out what you need to. Want to write a doctor and you’re not one? Look it up. Find out how long it takes to become one. Find medical and pharmacological jargon. Read a few blogs written by interns about what goes on at hospitals. If you can, find a real doctor who’s willing to answer a few questions. If you don’t know much about it, it’s unlikely you can’t find it out with a few mouse clicks.
There are hundreds of thousands of people looking for “shortcuts” and “tips” and “hacks” to getting “free traffic” to make their journey to an online income easier. Of course, making money online is simple.
One of the hardest parts of blogging is simply keeping things up to date. You can improve your chances of creating a successful blog though by using a good blogging platform. Two of the most popular are, Blogger, and WordPress. I prefer WordPress, but either one is good in its own right.
On my site I use my home page to display excerpts of my posts. But you may wish to have a static page as your home page and have the posts linked in the index.
