Have you ever gone a trip to a new city or state and found a great little store? Or perhaps, you love to fish or hunt and on your travels you found the perfect place to indulge in your favorite sport? Maybe, you visited a great little restaurant that had all the ambiance you want for a weekend getaway?
Now, to the best part. If you have a pack for business trips or website, would you like to be able to offer your tourist the ability to choose absolutely anything in the whole wide world? That’s right.
Personalize your email by addressing it to the company’s marketing person. Think of the email as a “cover letter” and your blog links as your resume. In the event you were not able to find out the name of the person in charge of marketing, use something “generic” such as Marketing Manager or Director of Marketing. Do not use “to whom it may concern.” This is very old school!
Sadly, the opposite is true when traveling. People who travel near the speed of light- or at least sound- arrive home seemingly unaware of where they had just visited. Locations become nothing more than a check box on their itinerary, an experience not to be savored, but shown off to others. They develop the classic “If it’s Tuesday, this must be Rome” syndrome. Speed is not better, which is why you shouldn’t try to travel at the speed of light.
First, you need to have a blog. A blog is a webpage wherein you can write about your favorite travel destinations and how you can promote them to your readers. Of course you would have to do a little marketing to make your blog popular in your chosen niche, but that would be easy as long as you do follow the right methods in the field of online marketing.
Local clubs/Events: Does your local town or city have a blog. You could start your blog around the local community, local events, blog about local businesses. Get your local sports and social clubs involved. Promote local events such as carnivals, sports days. Get the local school children involved, run competitions from your blog, with prizes offered from local business. Look for unique angles, promote your local community.
This is just a short list of the different types of blogging that can be done. It comes down to knowing what type of blog you want to start and then having the essential blogging skills. That is a topic for a different article but it comes down to knowing the right way to develop your blog to be a powerful marketing tool for your business if that is the angle you are going for.
